how to stop moscovy ducks from hatching eggs

Hi everyone, I have two female virgin moscovy ducks and they are hatching even there's no egg in the coop...they are young and stubborn they don't come out and don't eat..and when they came out the shit was massive and stinky.... it happens every time they finish laying eggs .. How do I stop this ......

Destroy the nest and block it off so they cant get back in..you might need to put them in a wire bottom crate that is elevated off the ground to cool their bellies to break the broodiness..

Welcome to Muscovy keeping. They are seriously BROODY birds! An elevated wire cage works most of the time. As you have learned, a broody prone hen does not need a male around or even eggs present to go broody. It's all determined by hormone levels, and there is nothing you can really do about those.

I've never been able to stop a broody Muscovy I finally just let her sit on nothing.
