I bought a 7 month old cuckoo pekin rooster from a chicken auction today. And after I got home I noticed he was bleeding on his foot. And upon further investigation I discovered roughly around 3 of his pin feathers were rather damaged on his feet. And they were bleeding quite a bit.
I’m not sure what happened to cause this, whether it was during the auction on the way back he was stressed which caused him to do that? And or if it was something else?
So how do I help him recover and stop the bleeding?

Bleeding can stop on it’s own, but if you pull the feather out with pliers, it will stop. He may have been feather picked at the auction. Be sure to isolate him from your others for at least a month, and examine his legs for scaly leg mites, and body mites or lice, and perhaps worm him and make sure that he is healthy. Post pictures of his legs and feet for any opinions.

Will do, he will stay pretty isolated from the rest of the chickens regardless as we have them split into different yards and one of the yards has been empty for awhile which is the one he is in until we get some hens for him to go with.
I will check on him tomorrow and see on the status of his bleeding and his legs
