How to store uncut avocade?

You posted your question in FEEDING AND WATERING YOUR FLOCK.
I hope you do not intend to feed the skins, and pits to your chickens. Both are toxic to chickens. The pits are somewhat difficult for chickens to eat, unless someone decided to crush/grind them.

If your question is for human consumption use, I purchase avocados from store in moderate quantities. I purchase when they are firm. In a few days, they soften up. I then use to make guacamole, or whatever else.
I never stored for extended period of time. Maybe some cooks here can answer this for you. :idunno

Absolutely in the refrigerator. My friend told me it works and I couldnt believe it because the grocers don’t refrigerate their avocados in the produce section. But honestly they keep for weeks instead of days.

Do they need to be ripe before putting in refrigerator? I put bananas in the fridge, to keep them from ripening (I prefer them on the unripe side). The banana peel does turn brown, but the fruit doesn't seem to ripen.
