How to tame your roosters?

How do you encourage your roosters to be the snuggly sweethearts you know they could be? I’m very much a hands on chicken tender, and I was wondering if anyone has a special method to encourage cuddly behavior?

Roosters are hardwired to be aggressive towards threats to their hens and they are prey animals so it actually stresses them to be handled by predators (aka - humans).

Also, do either of you have multiple roosters coexisting?

For me, it's just the risk of them getting too familiar and getting nasty is too great. My rooster is a really good one and I'm not about to rock the boat.

Multiple roosters can coexist, but you must have enough hens for them to avoid overbreeding. I generally ignore roosters too and terminally cull anyone who is aggressive.

I just let my roosters do their job being a flock master, respect them, and let them be chickens.
I tend to think of it more of a partnership, were we both understand the other helps to look after the hens, and both respect each other.
This starts when they are teens, I walk though them, and they get disciplined with a sharp tap/peck on the back if they misbehave and/or getting chased around the run. Once they know they can't boss me around, I then make friends with them, and that is the start of the partnership.
They don't like being picked up, and I respect that. (unless I have to, for health checks)
