How to tell hen from rooster!!

Ehhh.... don't think the wing feather things works with all breeds.
.....and I'd not recommend buying chicks from anywhere that allows the public free access to the chicks like that.

For most breeds 4-6 weeks will tell the tale on the males by size and color of combs and wattles. If you don't want males don't buy straight run.
Even pullets run the risk of 10% males.

I bought 12 leghorn pullet chicks about 1 1/2 weeks ago and at this point I can tell I have a rooster because his comb is a little bigger than the others. They are all the same age.

i agree about not buying from places like that had a friend buy chicks from a place that let everyone touch them months later it had mg as the owner of the place they got them from has chicks they add to the hatchery orders chick bin and their birds had mg aswell

I have birds that you cannot tell who is what..one of my hen crowed for a bit. I had luck sexing them like that.. Have been wrong 2 times so far
But, to each his own.If it works , it works.
I never had any diseases or anything from my flock because its a closed flock.. no new birds, ever.I breed my own
