How to tell how to cook the chicken (fryer vs stew etc)

Crock pot with a jar of chile verde salsa over them. Serve over rice. Leftover meat is good for enchiladas, chili, or BBQ pulled chicken sandwiches.

I think I may just have to roast this one. Don't have enough time (or clean enough kitchen) to prep the bird into pieces either. I really wanted to do BBQ, but not sure if I can hack it once the toddler wakes up from nap time.

Don't want to botch the first dinner!

(I've got an autralorp just under 3lbs and a brahma just over 3lbs. The brahma looks amazing, I'll probably choose him for tonight)
 
Stuff him with herbs, lemon, and garlic; add some chunks of potato, carrots, onions, and celery around the bird and put it in to roast at 325 for 1 hour. Use the cooking liquid to make a pan gravy.

I did close! 350 for hour, salt pepper and onion powder rub, celery in the cavity.

It was delicious!
