How to tell if an egg is stuck?

How do you tell if a hen has an egg that's stuck? I have a hen that is normally a decent layer who has not laid in a bit. She seems a little less active, but we've had some crazy stormy and dark weather over the last few days too. She doesn't seem to be spending tons of time nesting, though.

Does anyone have experience with this?

Does she seem distressed?

You can put a few drops of mineral oil in her vent and using rubber gloves, check in her vent and see if you feel an egg.
