how to up the protein in regular chick starter?

my peachicks are hatching and i only have regular chick starter and cant get to the feed store until friday. how can i get the protein up to 28% until i can get game bird feed? also i am not sure if the store carries game bird, i saw that they sold duck feed will that work?

I feed my chicks 24% medicated (chicken) chick starter. That's the best they have around here.

I used *high* quality cat food to up the protein of my starter when my serama chicks hatched....they and my ducklings all got the starter mixed with some cat food. I would not have used a lower quality cat food...but my cats' Wellness Core and Nature's Variety Instinct cat food (they are high protein, no grain cat foods) worked well for me

It was mixed at 1/4 with 3/4 18% protein starter to get ~26% protein.
