How to Weigh?

I have a kitchen scale that goes up to 11 lbs for chicks and smaller birds. It gives me weight in pounds and ounces. So 3 lbs 4.6 oz. (or 3.29 lbs) For squirmy or larger birds I have a stand on human bathroom scale. I can hold the bird then step on the scale. Weigh myself and then subtract. It gives weight in pounds as 3.7 lbs. (or 3 lbs 11.2 oz)
When I needed to weigh my rather large and boisterous rooster I considered one of those hanging scales like people use for fishing.

Thought I could wrap him up in something and suspend him.
I guess it depends on how accurate you need and how much you want to spend.
Hope that helped.

I just use a scale that was in a hospital in the infant area. It is not spot on but it works.
I only show LF but I have used it on bantams before.
Kitchen scales also work

I put mine in a 5 gallon bucket and pick it up with a digital fishing scale. The scale can account for the weight of the bucket, or subtract it yourself.

Using a bucket can wreck feathers, and they could panick and ruin more feathers. And I know male LF cochins would not fit
