How wide is a mature sex link bird?

I am at the point of cutting a chicken door for them to access the run, and I'm hesitating on what size to make it. At first I thought 9"x 12" but is this too small?

9x12 will be fine. The door to my nest hutches are only like 8x9... and I've seen my 10 lb roo go though it. Just a tigher squeeze.

Kind of like "pressed duck"?

For those that are not familiar, pressed duck is a chinese delicacy, I think they do chicken that way as well. The dressed bird is put in a press and squished flat, then cooked a special way.

Thanks for the info. I hope it's warmer in Everett then it is here, darn cold the last few days! brrrrr.. I'm used to the balmy wet coast weather..

Well... my chicken coops are into the 20's tonight... so not sure how much better it is down here really.. cold front is moving in to the area. Sure you're getting that too. Wouldn't trade our weather for anywhere else! Good luck!
