I saw my Rooster and my hens Together, and i want to raise chicks. so far, There is two eggs in the nest. even though i saw them together, how can i be sure that the hen was fertilized? She isn't broody yet, so i cant do the flashlight trick. every time my rooster approaches my hen, i think, what if the sperm don't make it to the egg? i don't want to waste all my time waiting for chicks to find out the eggs were never successfully fertilized. does anyone have any advice or experience with this?

also, if you could reply to this topic:

How long has the rooster been with the hens? I would say Waite at least 2 days to start collecting eggs to be sure.
