Hi everyone! My name is Steve(n) and I'm from Los Angeles. I've been wanting to have my own chickens (for eggs) for a while. With the purchase of our home, we now have the space to house chickens. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions and recommendations anyone would have for me, especially for quiet chickens. I'm a rookie in this game, but very eager to learn.

Best place to start is the Learning Center, it has everything you need to know about starting out with chickens. https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center chickens are relatively quiet especially compared to barking dogs in my opinion, as long as you have no roosters. The most noise my hens make is when they lay an egg and they sing the egg song it's pretty funny if you've never heard it before. Good luck to you
