Howdy From Arkansas

I live in Rison Arkansas and I currently have 5 hens and a roo. Well... I think that is the count. I have 2 that we incubated ourselves and one of them is really starting to make me doubt my sexing call. We might have 2 roos & 4 hens.

I am pretty much a green horn at all of this but I am learning. This has been my first winter with chickens and they appear to be doing well.

My older roo is a mean one. He will hear the back door open and come running from the woods to attack us. Crazy I tell ya... he is crazy.

Anyway... I look forward to all I can learn on this forum.

Welcome from another Arkansan. I'm from Bauxite just south of Little Rock. We've had mean roosters like that and they ended up being chicken and dumplings.
