Hey guys!

My name is Matt S and I live in a pretty rural town in Connecticut. I am raising 6 white leghorns and 5 RIR's for the first time! The past couple days I have been finding my first couple eggs and boy was that exciting!!! I am looking forward to sharing my journey on here and soaking up some wisdom that will be quite helpful when I am in need of some expertise. I already want more chicks and am looking forward to spring so I can add some space onto the coop!

Welcome Matt, it's very nice to meet you. Hope you will enjoy Backyard Chickens as much as we do. You might like to join your state thread and find out what is going on around you. Great way to find out how others get their flocks through extreme weather conditions etc.
