This is my first year with chickens. We started with eight baby Amerucana chicks and half of them end up being cockerels. Now we have 4 hens and 1 rooster.
I found out about BackyardChickens.com while searching for answers to chicken problems. I am retired so I have lots of time for all my hobbies including gardening, woodworking and of course Chickens. I’m a retired peace officer so moving out to the country with my wife of 34 years and our dog was a great stress reliever. We live near our 2 daughters and three granddaughters. Life is good

Always great to have more old folks allot of us fit that we even have a thread here dedicated to us... so happy you joined the site enjoy the birds I have 35 or so most are
too young sending the old folks to freezer camp but I am in Mossyrock, Washington State
