Hi, My name is Melissa and I have a flock of 8 (black sex link, Golden sex link, blue Cochin, dark Brahma, Partridge Cochin, 2 Naked Necks, & an Easter Egger), 3 Rescue dogs and 2 bunnies. I’m approaching my 1st year anniversary of being crazy chicken mama and I’m trying to connect with other chicken owners in the area.

Hi Melissa, I'm also in Kingwood Texas and I want to have chickens in my back yard. For some reason people in this area think there's something wrong with this. I'm worried that the home owners association will nix my dream! Any suggestions?

I suggest reading your HOA's rules first, some don't allow chickens and nosy neighbors tattle real quick.
