Hello Everyone
I know this is basically a chicken site but I see there are a few duck people.

I have four ducks so far. One is a Pekin, two Khakis and one Rouen/Khaki mix. They are such a hoot! I can't help but love them.
Other than the ducks I have one horse, one pony mule, three cats and two German Shepherd dogs. The dog yard and duck pen are adjacent to each other. I thought the dogs were going to be barking at the ducks but they pretty much ignore them even when the ducks are right up next to the fence. That was a real relief.

I like in rural community where most people get along with the other. I was taking care of my neighbor's ducks when they went out of town and enjoyed them so much that she gave me four when ducklings hatched. Both of us are going to get some more when spring arrives. We are going to get various breeds and I will have what we call "A Motley Crew."

Welcome to BYC! Glad you decided to join our flock. I'm a chicken person and don't know much about ducks (although I've had a few), but I have to admit that ducklings are the ultimate in cute.
