Howdy from Oklahoma!

Hello, I want to take a minute to introduce myself. I live in south central Oklahoma and have had a small flock of chickens on our ranch for many years (along with dorper sheep, boer goats and angus cattle). I just bought my first trio of black copper marans yesterday, and am now obsessed with learning about them. I only raise the chickens for our own personal egg consumption and baking for the guests on our guest ranch. My old flock is just that...."old", with many of the hens being well past laying age, so it was time to add some new bloodlines. I'm housing the marans separately from the old gals (brown leghorns) and I hope to grow a new flock
I'm looking forward to learning and sharing my experiences with others here!
