Just getting started in the Wonderful World of Chickens!
We have 4 Anacauna-mix hens that are maybe 4-5 months old. They are all varying shades of orange-red with some black feathers. I have had them about a month.
I first heard about BYC through Mother Earth News magazine and website.

I am fortunate to be a stay-at-home mom and wife after working 20+ years in the corporate accounting world. I live on 11 acres in Splendora, TX, with my husband of 23 years, our 10 yr. old son and my 37 yr. old brother (who has Down's). Some of my other hobbies are crocheting, sewing, gardening and baking.

Our other pets are 9 cats (all outside), 7 fish and 1 Hermit crab. We hope to get some goats soon and othe barnyard animals in the future.

Thanks in advance for knowledge, advice, ideas, etc. that I will get from this forum.
