My husband, three year old son, and I are new to the country and read 15 chicken books and watched countless videos before building our coop and locating our flock locally. We picked out 9 pullets, one rooster and a laying rescue. She was being pecked for her limp leg and is our only layer. We love reading these threads and have learned more here than any book, thanks!
