Just wanted to say Hello
to all the members of BYC and also wanted to intoduce myself.
My name is Amy....I am a 30 yr old wife and mother. I was born and raised in our little small town here in western NC (our county borders TN). I was raised a "farm girl" and we always had horses, cows, sheep, chickens, etc. I must say I was not too thrilled when my grandfather decided to build my son the "Tajmahal" of chicken coops. But during the build I have really been doing my homework and I am more excited right now than my 6 yr old. I finished up my Brooder in the basement last night and after a trip to Tractor Supply for a new heat lamp bulb and some pine shavings, my son and I are going Friday evening to pick up our new baby Silkies. I am so excited I feel like a kid again. But my nerves are bout to get the best of me. So, let me apologize in advance because I will probably ask a lot of questions! But I must say, I have been reading this site for the last month and have found soooooooo much useful information. THANK YOU!!
