Howdy from the Texas hill country

I've been raising chickens for 3 years now but always have more to learn so glad to find this forum. I started with 15 Barred Rock chicks 3 years ago. The flock has changed, now have 4 Barred Rocks, 4 Delawares, 3 Silver Wyandotts, 2 Easter Eggers and 2 Copper Marans.

I have the chickens to provide eggs for my wife and I along with daughter's family that live nearby. I usually have extra eggs so I sell them along with produce at the local Farmers Market.

As my handle implies I am a deck builder. Should say was as I retired 3 years ago and moved away from the big city of Austin to the southern hill country near Medina Lake.
