Introducing myself! My husband had chickens as a kid growing up in California. I grew up in Texas, but never had them. We have 14 girls (we think- two are questionable). I love just sitting on the swing and watching them. My husband built a run around three sides of our enclosed garden, and they get to roam around the garden during the day, so we call them semi- free range. We just bought our home in December, so the garden hasn’t been started just yet. We hope that the hens will help control bugs and other pests. I’m looking forward to learning new information about raising chickens!

I hate to bring it up, BUT that coop is way too small for 14 LF chickens. :oops:
And you might want to consider upgrading the chicken wire to 1/2" hardware cloth for actual protection of your flock when they are confined to the run.
