Taj_MaChicken
Songster
Hi. I'm new here, but I've been reading the forum for a while now when I had questions on my chicks. I figured it was about time to stop snooping around and just introduce myself.
We live on a few acres, and will be adding more animals down the road. Currently, we have 12 pullets and 1 known cockerel. Originally, we purchased ameraucana and SLW, but I think the store sold us a couple sick chickies... lost 3 the first week and ended up with two bantam Polish and two mystery chicks.
We bought the original group 6 weeks ago; they've all been transitioned to their coop and we've built a temporary run until we are able to fence in a larger portion of our land and let them free range when we get a dog and goats, etc. We have a heavily wooded piece of land, and lots of predators.
What else is there to say? My boyfriend calls the coop the "Taj MaChicken" because HE but it so large (it still needs some work).
The girls' names are (in no particular order):
*Baldie
*Tawny
*Clarebelle
*Charlie
*Princess Sophia
*Harley
*Nellie
*Cricket
*Tarmac
*Stevie
*Winger
*Ava
AND, the cockerel:
*Ringo
