(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? We just got our chicks last Saturday.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? We have four awesome little ones.
(3) What breeds do you have? 2 Black Australorps: Rosalinda and Henrietta, 1 Rhode Island Red: Lucy, 1 silver-laced Wyandotte: Willow
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com? I found you through the internets.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Mostly starting things I never manage to finish.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. We're six humans, three dogs and one cat. We're recent transplants to the PNW from Texas. One of the reasons why I agreed to the move was because I wanted to get chickens. (our HOA would never have allowed it back home) One year later we finally got them. I had no idea how fun they would be. And how much they would poop!
We're going to see how well we do with our egg layers then we'll decide to expand to a meat flock as well maybe sometime in the fall. In the meantime my husband needs to get started on a tractor to house the four we already have.
