New member here- I let my children talk me into some chickens for our backyard so we turned their play house into a coop and added a small run. Looking to add more secure area for them to explore soon. Next week I have 8 goslings coming to keep a lonely goose company out at our farm pond when they get big enough. She is quite lonely and the other pair there are mean to her so hoping these little guys will bond with her and keep her company. I have a lot to learn- I haven't had chickens since 4H- LOL!

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided join our flock. Your coop looks very nice. Raising chickens is a wonderful experience for children. My granddaughter (pictured in my avatar) loves our chickens. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. What kind of chickens did you get?
 
I have no idea- I posted their pictures in the breed forum for help. I got 4 little pullets from my neighbor that hatched them for me.

Hello I'm new here . I just had some questions about my chickens and hoped someone would be able to answer! I've had chickens for two years and my chickens keep laying these huge eggs only two of them do it.. they usually have 2 yokes but sometimes 3.. and that same chicken looks sick her bottom is always dirty and her feathers are always dingy .. anyone know what the cause of this is??
