I was looking for a small coop for my first chicken experiment - hubby insisted on the 8x12 we have now - then as time went on, he built me three more coops -

go with the bigger coop - your hubby is right on this one

I started off with 2 10x10's to alternate sites to give the ground a rest. Well, I now have both full and hubby added on 5 times and we still are contemplating a brooder house. Was going to be this year till we found out we needed a new septic tank this year!

Future plans are much, much bigger!

It's like my wife and I. I think we should have a 4 x 8 coop and she thinks I have lost my mind for wanting chickens.
