My largest chicken is a white Brahma about seven months old. I gave my dozen hens a half of a raw acorn squash today and I think she spent considerable time eating a large portion of it. Tonight her crop is huge - about the size of a small red delicious apple. She is making jerky movements involving her chest and neck, but hopped onto the roost tonight with the other hens. Did she eat way too much?
