Huge temperature differences in my incubator

The temperature at my bottom shelf is 94 and the top shelf is 101 or more. Is there any way to fix this?!

Do you have a fan in your incubator? If not, that could be your problem. A fan evenly distributes the heat so there are not as many cold and hotspots.

No I don't. Guess I'll have to purchase one. Can you buy one and just set it on a rack?

Well you really need it behind your heat source. A lot of people use computer fans. You can probably search the internet and find instructions on how to install a pc fan. By the way, is your bator homemade?

Here is the link to directions for installing the fans. I got my charger at a junk store, and the fan from a computer repair place. Both for less than $2

How tall is this incubator? If it is over say 2 feet then you need some kind of duct work or a false back so the fan pulls the hot air from the top an puts it on the bottom.

Here is a diagram of an incubator with no fan.

It is for a incubator that is about 8 inches tall. For an incubator that is taller it can be more of an issue.
