humidity and other incubating questions

eggs are rocking do you think 60 percent humidity is good and if you hace had your eggs in a carton the hole time could you take them out of the carton and put them on there side.it is late day 17 so im preping while i can

I think 60% is good and yes you can lay them on their sides. My eggs stay on their sides.

I'd make last turn and set'um on side at the end of 18 or morn of 19. 60% is good but don't open it until 22 or you can tell thats all that are going to hatch, maybe 23rd. If you open it after some have knocked the air hole in the shell it drys quick and they cant bust out . has to stay soft. usual best to sleep on it and wake up to a bunch of chicks than to get in a hurry and end up with a couple. you'll see if you did good by day 19-20 they'll be shaking there shells and may hear some peeps. good luck
