humidity for muscovy eggs?

Humidity should be about 60% until 3 days before hatch. you can mist the eggs but thats up to you. i tried it and the results are no different, I only mist if i have to open the bator During Hatching. ONLY use hot water to mist, it will cool very fast when it comes out of the sprayer so it wont be hot when it hits the eggs/babies.

For the last 3 days, Raise the humidity to around 75% (i go up to 80% sometimes), it helps the membranes stay moist while the duckling is hatching. There is a sac around the duckling(that 'holds' the blood veins) & a 'membrane' under the egg shell. the shell membrane can dry out very quickly and is pretty sensitive to drops in humidity. If it does dry out it will stick to the baby and cause hatching difficulty.. Sometimes they wont be able to get out or they will hatch with the shell stuck to them.

Unless you absolutely have to, Don't open the incubator while they're hatching.
Good Luck
