I’ve attached the diagram that came with my incubator. It says between says 8-14 to add more water. I’ve been reading so much on keeping humidity lower during the first part of incubation before lockdown. Adding this much water has clearly boosted humidity up a lot (I don’t have a hygrometer but can tell that humidity is higher as there is condensation on the window). Should I just continue to run it at the lower humidity until lockdown, and then fill up all the tanks? Or would you the instructions? I’m sending my husband to get a hygrometer after work as I’m really curious what level it is at in there. Temperature is and has been steady and all eggs look great this far (day 11 today).

Keep your humidity around 30%, then on days 18+ raise it to at least 60%. 70% is max.
If they have a high humidity throughout the chick gets too big and cannot hatch out, or it drowns. Either way you'd have some dead chicks. In these cases, of too high humidity, the first chick or two will hatch but then the humidity spikes up to 85% or so and the other ones die.
