Humidity too high

I've had the same issue for the past week, wanting humidity levels at 45% but it wants to stay around 55%,,,I have a Brinsea 190 EX Advance with the water pump, automatic humidity control,,it has a water resevoir tank at the top of the bator where the fans blows the air over the top of this,,even with my vents wide open my lowest levels was around 53%,,,so to solve the issue for good,,I took aluminum foil and had to cover almost 95% of the water resevoir so air wasn't able to blow over this, and evaporate the water.Brinseas are set up so there is not a lot,if any water will be in this resevoir at all,,rather water comes thru the hose which should be under the sponge, where it is absorbed into,,but because the little brushless pump motor is somewhat noisy,,and the incubator is on a table in my living room,,,to keep the pump from running I normally fill the resevior up with water, added 2 other small kitchen sponges,,and open the vents wide open,,this alway kept the humidity levels at close to 45%,,and the only time my pump would run was when the resevoir was close to empty. You need to cover up your water so not as much surface area is "open" for passing air to go over. This may take you a few hours to get it right,,but with mine it took about an hour, and adding some more aluminum foil covering more area up,,and now it stays at 45% almost all day again.
