Hunched over silkie?

She died this morning. I'm sort of thinking she didn't have cocci because she hadn't been getting any worst, as I assume chickens with cocci do. She was still walking around, and there was no blood in her droppings, and then when I went up to check on her yesterday morning, she was laid down and barely alive. She died shortly afterwards. My other two hens appear to be in perfect health.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I had a silkie hen that used to be completely different from the rest ad acted weird and one ay just died in the corner of the coop. Didn't understand it.

Sorry to gear your pullet died :( I know this is too little, too late, but thought I'd add anyway. I'm not sure of you're aware, but Silkies have a soft spot on top of their heads (like a baby human), and if they happen to catch a peck there, they can end up with a range of neurological issues. Standing hunched, putting their head between their legs and doing back flips are pretty common. Sometimes they can be helped with vitamin E, electrolytes, ect, sometimes they cannot. Just for future reference in case you decide life isn't complete without a silkie in you flock :)
