hunting trip

We went hunting on Thanksgiving Day, but I only saw a coon and some birds. But that's okay. I enjoyed being out there is the peaceful quite woods. Most of the meat we eat comes from what my DH has brought home. It tastes good and keeps our family well fed.

Well .......... We are waiting .............. come on the suspence...............Did he get a wall hanger? I still remember my daughters first deer like it was yesterday. Son not really big enough yet but we are close.

Can't beat the eats either? We will eat about 5 in a year.

For the anti hunter - to each their own. Good luck with the over populated deer getting planted in the hood of your car. Be sure not to call the insurance or whine or complain about it either cause we won't care!

Years ago a deer ran in front of my truck in the early morning dark. I was going 60 with 'Big Daddy' which was a Ram 2500 diesel. Yup, a big truck. The deer did $2000 in damage and got up and ran away. I was SOOOO bummed out I did not get the back straps outta that accident.

nothing again.. it even rained harder today.. they stayed dry for the most part tho..

oh well .. maybe next time.. I really do feel bad for them.. but my son still is looking on the bright side and saying that he really did have a good time anyway.

It took me 4 years to get my first deer. I saw many but in the early 80's they had to be bucks. Now in Ohio I think you can take up to 7, not sure because I gave up hunting in the past. I got tired of being cold and wet and I think I wised up. Have patience it will happen.
