My hens roof just blew off and I can see movement within the coop. What can I do to help the hens after storm ends I am afraid the stress alone may kill them.If it was up to me they all would be in house with me.What can I do to help them. They are 14 weeks old and I thought the chicken house was secure.I fed them extra prior to the storm and put electrolytes in their water. This is breaking my heart I worked so hard to raise them right and now this. Please anything i can do will be done as soon as winds die down.I have to move them also asap because they say more storms are coming.

Could you possibly bring them into the garage and put them in a box or something??? Or is it too dangerous to go outside??? Do you have a tarp you could put over the top and tie down??? Sorry these are my only suggestion

My tarp just went sailing down the road .The winds are up to 70 miles an hour.we can move them to a kennel when we can go outside .Is there anything I can give them to boost them up

Trap or do you have a large dog crate/cage and bring them inside your garage or house. If you have more then one bathroom lay down and cover everything in the bathroom andput the chickens in there. Please only go outside if its safe for you.

Thanks lynn. The wait to go outside is killing me.We have a kennel house if I can get out there they will be moved asap .Thank God they fallow me if they think I have mealworms.

mine are the same way with meal worms, and they attack the little bucket by all trying to jump in if they are live meal worms.

When its safe go and get them.
