my toddler dropped her chicken she’s a few months old I think 2 now. She moves a little but mostly just her head. She will eat and drink but worried she is hurt. I put her in a basket on the porch it’s rainy and she was wet from last night. Any tips? She has always been sweet and easy to handle but I feel bad she doesn’t want to move.

In her coop she looked a lot more uncomfortable but seems to be sitting up better now.

Very sorry that your pullet is injured. Make sure that it is getting enought to drink, and hold water and food up to it’s beak often to get it eating. Cooked egg, chick feed mixed with water to make an oatmeal consistency are good to offer. With such an injury, I would bring her inside to watch her closely for a day or two. Chicks can amaze us with therpir recovery from accidents. They may be in shock for a bit. Watch for any wry neck or neck problems. Is she a mille fleur d’uccle?
