Hurt Dog

Oh i am sorry to hear that but at the very least give her some asperin or something for the pain and swelling if you can't go to the vets and until you can afford get her to the vets. There may be some group or something that can offer cheap vet care or maybe even free or at least help you like an animal shelter or the Society For The Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), check around and check your area, there may well be one that can offer you and your dog discounted vetinary care, it might just take a bit of searching but you may well find one in your area. I am sorry good luck and I hope your dog gets better soon.

Waiting could very well make the vet visit MUCH more expensive than taking her asap if something starts to heal wrong.

It could be any number of things and if its been several days already you really should try to get her in asap. Talk to your vet about a potential payment plan....if you have a vet that you regularly use, many will be sympathetic to the hard times.

My mom had a spendy German Shepherd whose parents were imported from Germany. The breeder said there was NO dysplasia in Germany.
I took him for a walk at the beach, and we hiked up a short but rather steep shale rich trail; he came back limping, and was diagnosed with severe dysplasia. The breeder actually said it was my fault,

He had a bilateral pectineotomy (cuts the muscle that pulls the head of the femur bone 'up', so it has less chance of sliding against the top end of the socket). It cost a lot, but he had a good long life after that.

But yes, it can show up fast under certain conditions.

Maybe there's a low cost vet, or vet school, near you? Antiinflammatories will ease it for now, but not fix it.

I am so sorry, and I hope it turns out to be a simple strain.
