One of our chickens has a hurt leg. We have checked it periodically for pain/reaction by pressure and range of motion. It does not have an obvious break. No pressure generates any reaction different from her good leg. She will wince/tighten when straightening the bad leg. This has been consistent over the past 2 months.
2/3/9 - She could not put any weight on the leg. We left her in the coop and she seemed to be healing over several days. She was putting more weight on it until
2/24 - Her leg seemed to hurt as bad as initially. We isolated her for 23 days in about 2.5 x 2.5 with no place to go up. She slowly seemed to be getting better.
3/20 - She was still limping, but seemed good enough, so we re-introduced her at night.
4/3 - Today. 2 months later, she is back to not putting any weight on it.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Chris
