My girl Poshy has had a hurt leg for about 2-3 weeks. At first I thought it was Marek's cause of the way she was walking, but after a week the other leg still hadn't progressed I figured it was an injury and would go away after a week. Her leg is still not doing any better than it was the first day she was hurt. She has started walking differently than she was at first. At first she was walking on the hock of the one leg, now she is like pulling it up in an arch. It hasn't gotten any better, is it just a slow healing injury? Could it be something else? What can I do to help her? I have had her in a dog crate outside during the day where they can still see her, then I bring her in at night. Here's a video of her:

Mareks is one of those things that can look different in every chicken. There are 4 types—the nerve form, the skin lesion form, the eye form, and the visceral or tumors in the organs form. Every case can be different. That said, several other diseases or conditions can cause similar symptoms.

From what you can tell what other possibilities do you think there are?

Injuries to the leg would be the most common possibility. Vitamins deficiency, specifically riboflavin or B2 would be dpsomething to rule out. There are blood serum tests available to rule out Mareks. I would try to let her be as normal as possible while observing her behavior and symptoms. Vitamin B complex tablets can be given 1/2 tablet crushed into food or a little water. Here is a link about Mareks bloood serum testing:

Did you check for bumblefoot? Also try pushing a finger into the pad of her foot to see if she can "grab" your finger. It looks like she can't control her toes.

I have checked for bumblefoot, still no signs. Also it's like somedays she can grab with her toes and some days she can't, I have no clue what is up with that.

I've been giving her a B complex vitamin for a few weeks to try and rule that out and still no sign of improvement.

Although most of the time she can so I think maybe sometimes she just might not want to.
