HUUUGE EGG

We've been getting eggs for about a month and they've been pretty consistent and normal. But last night we got TWO HUGE EGGS ALMOST DOUBLE THE SIZE OF THE NORMAL ONES! What is this? Could it mean fertile? Or double yolk? My ducks can't lay 2 a day so that means TWO of my runners layed a giant egg?? What is this??

It is a giant egg.
I get them now and then and look at the egg, look at the duck and think thank goodness I'm not a duck!

That was with the biggest egg we had in out fridge!

This is a regular sized egg next to it!

Could well be a double-yolker. During their first laying season, a few of my runners laid doubles.

Depending on breed, you may get quite a few of those. Our Metzer Hybrids drop quite a few dinosaur eggs. Usually they are double yolk - on very rare occasions triple.
