Hygrometer frustration

I have never been so frustrated. Six days from hatching my old incubator had to be swapped out because it was losing heat. We quickly overnighted a cheap one from Amazon. Setup and operation were easy. It (supposedly) reads out the temp and humidity level, which can be adjusted externally with two water ports and a release valve.

On a fluke I pulled the hygrometer from my old incubator and tossed it in there, to make sure it wasn't the problem. I had a second one in the house so I set it in there, too. They are six inches apart and have MAJORLY different readings! How is that possible? The incubator and two hygs have a range of about 15 percent humidity and four degrees in temp so I have NO idea where I really am! And we're five days from hatching. 🤬

I wouldn't trust the temp and humidity readings of the incubator, they are almost always inaccurate. Since the individual ones are so off from each other, I wouldn't trust them either. Maybe you could overnight a good quality thermometer/hygrometer from Amazon? I have Govee's, which I like the most, and some other cheaper ThermoPro ones, which are still pretty accurate.
