I’ll be so sad if this is a rooster...

New to chickens, my daughter convinced us to give it a try. Bought 4 “females”. They are now 3 1/2 months old. I’m so worried this one is a rooster, it sounds like he/she is attempting to crow. Any ideas, or better photos I could take? We can’t have roosters in town..

Really stupid question, what do we do with him. Does he have to be killed? I’m sorry, I’m just so sad, we’ve all gotten very attached.
No, you don't have to kill him. I rehomed a hatchery quality Delaware and a mixed breed chicken relatively quickly on CL. Both went to homes where they had their own flocks.
 
We just had a good experience on craigslist, found a single hen, and she now has a great home with us! If you dont have luck with FB or the forums here, craigslist may be a good alternative route! Sorry you can't keep him :(
