I’m new here,Susie.

Hi, Susie, glad to meet you, and welcome to BYC. NFC cracked your code, I hope. I thought you were really asking about bed spreads! :lau

If you are looking for coturnix quail, I have gotten excellent eggs shipped very carefully packed ready to be incubated from Southwest Gamebirds. I thought the quality of birds and hatch rate were just phenomenal. I also hear good things about Myshire Farm, though I have not yet bought anything from them.

Other types of quail may be had from Southwest Gamebirds, or also sometimes from our member, 007Sean who raises a LOT of different types of quail, just not coturnix.

I think I would stick to a hatchery that specializes in quail and gamebirds rather than picking up coturnix as a sort of sideline to its main business of chickens. For one thing, quail need to be isolated from chickens because they can pick up diseases that do not kill chickens but will just roar through a flock of quail in no time. I presume Murray McMurray knows this, but I still think I would stick to a hatchery that really focuses on quality quail.
