Hi guys! I thought I would introduce myself. My name is Seleste! I am married to my awesome husband and have one adorable 20 month old daughter named Emersen. I am a vet tech but not currently working because I’m home taking care of my girl. I am new to chickens! I’ve owned birds before (and just about any other small animal you can think of 🙃), but never chickens. I also own a Portuguese Water Dog. He loves all animals! Anyways, we live in Utah and love it! I recently got 5 chicks from an IFA Country Store near me. They are now 4 weeks old. I have a Barnevelder (the shyest of the bunch), an Easter Egger, a Barred Plymouth Rock, a Buff Orpington (the sweetest and cuddliest), and a Silkie. The only one not sexed was the Silkie. They are going to live in the backyard! Hopefully everyone can help me along the way. Thanks for reading!

We are buying a coop from a guy who builds them himself! It’s really cute! We are getting it on Saturday and I can’t wait! I just want to make sure it’s very predator proof before putting them in it (which won’t be for a few weeks).
