Hi. I had chickens as a kid, and I’ve tried to raise chickens some when I only had toddlers, but it became too difficult. I’m trying to start again now that my oldest children are teenagers.

As I’ve tried to restart my chicken journey, I find that chicken addiction can come on really fast. So, I started out with 6 chicks about 6 weeks ago and after losing quite a few, I now have 9 chickens ranging from 5 weeks to about 8 weeks old.

I have a golden comet, 2 white leghorns, 3 buff Orpingtons, 2 light brahmas and silver laced Wyandotte.

My chickens are so cute and it’s fun to watch them grow. I enjoy just watching them. I’ve gotten attached really fast.

I’m a mother, so I don’t have many hobbies, but I do like to crochet sometimes.
I’m a stay at home mother with several children, and along with our chicks, I have an Australian shepherd dog. We hope to have a mini farm soon with sheep and a horse.

I found this page as I’ve started trying to sex some of my chicks. I’m hoping to get some help sexing them. I’m pretty sure not all of my buff Orpington “pullets” are actually pullets.
