Hi! I’m Karrie, and I’m new here and to chicken raising.
I live in NE Ohio with my hubby and our three children. We just got our baby chicks two days ago. I think they’re about 1.5 weeks old. We have two of each: Isa browns, Rhode Island Reds, Longhorn whites, and silver laced Wyandotte. So far they are doing great. So excited to be a part of this community!

Limit treats and provide fortified starter feed.....your chicks will be happy and healthy!
I haven’t given them any treats yet— just the Purina medicated feed from Tractor Supply. I did set a little bowl of chick grit in with them last night because they all have feathers developing, and I think some of them are right around that 2-week mark. Should I be giving them some treats? I’m so new to this, but I have learned (about myself) that I tend to do best with hands-on learning.

Hello, Karrie, and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
I'd give them a clump of sod from their future run area. That's the best chick treat IMO.
