I’m sure I’m right but… buff silkie cockerel?

Only looking for confirmation from more experienced silkie owners that this little one is a cockerel. Not even 6 weeks old yet and has a large comb and wattles for its age.

I have too many cockerels already so I’d rather know now so I can start looking for a home for him before I get too attached.

You are correct, this bird is male.🙂

that's what I thought. I'm a little bummed, I already have my Floof, a black silkie boy who I can't part with. I was looking forward to different colors. I order 5 mixed color from Meyers, three are predominantly black (white bibs and bellies, not sure what their true color would be called) and one blue. I think the blue is also male from how it holds itself and its comb is more pronounced than the others but it's not as obvious as this one. I'll keep my fingers crossed that the blue (Toe Biter) is a girl even though my gut says boy.

Thank you for the confirmation! Now to start finding him a home!

Good luck! He is definitely a cockerel.
