I brought a chick home last night to TRY to nurser her back to health.
Her knee joint is swollen and she won't put weight on it. She is in pain
when I pick her up to look at it. I had her in a cast to keep her leg straight
so that it wouldn't heal bent being as she was walking on her knee on that side.
So, I see that she may have a dislocated tendon. Or she may have a broken leg.
Her leg is slightly turned in. It is not dangling she just sits on it. She is not more
than one week old. What should I do? I saw some posts about trying to pop the
tendon back in place but I don't want to mess with her leg anymore unless I see
some pics of broken legs at the knee joint or misplaced tendons so I will know how
to handle it..
Any suggestions chicken keepers? Thanks
