I am a new member

Hi everyone! I just want to introduce myself. My name is Joyce and my husband and I just got our 2 chickens as a gift by his brother in law.

We are happy to have them in our family here in Milpitas, CA but don't know anything about them. They are hens and approximately below 6 months as they are not laying eggs yet, and we don't even know the breed (sorry to say that). Since we got the hens without any plans, my hubby just bought the chicken coop at home depot and he is planning to have a good sized chicken run in our backyard.

We are doing as much research as we can so we can take care of them properly. And by joining this group, we know that we will be well-equipped in taking care of them.
